Stork’s story began right here in Naperville nearly 25 years ago, when the original Stork Snapshots opened its doors as the first elective prenatal 3D/4D ultrasound studio in Illinois.
I became part of Stork in 2005, not long after the studio first opened, and what began as a job quickly became something so much more. I had the privilege of sharing in some of the most exciting moments of pregnancy with so many families, and over the years, Stork became a very special part of my own story, too
In 2013, I finally had the opportunity to make Stork my own and create a new home for it in Aurora — a place where expecting families could step away from the busyness of everyday life for just a little while. I wanted Stork to be a place where everything else could wait — where you could slow down, spend time enjoying your baby, and simply take in this incredible little person you’re already so in love with.
Today, Stork 4D Imaging Studio calls Aurora home, but Naperville will always be where our story began. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching so many families grow — welcoming them back for another baby, watching little ones become big brothers and sisters, and sharing another chapter of their family’s story. And now, after all these years, some of the babies I once scanned are walking through my doors all grown up, getting ready to have babies of their own. It’s one of those full-circle moments that still amazes me.
Twenty-one years later, I’m still just as grateful to be part of these moments as I was when I first started. So much has changed since those early days in Naperville, but what has never changed is how special it feels to be trusted with such a meaningful and unforgettable part of a family’s story.
